A large fight on Thursday night in Tulare that left one man hospitalized with a stab wound has led to the arrests of five juveniles and one adult, the Tulare Police Department said in a statement.

The Tulare PD announced Tuesday that the juveniles, ages 14 to 17, face charges for fighting in public, with one also charged with conspiracy to commit a crime.

The only adult arrested, Jason Delatorre, 21, of Tulare, was booked into Tulare County Jail on charges of conspiracy, fighting in public, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The altercation occurred around 7:41 p.m. near K Street and San Joaquin Avenue, prompting calls to police of possible gunfire.

Officers quickly determined no shots were fired and discovered an injured man with a stab wound. The victim’s injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.

Detectives confirmed the fight was gang-related and said the suspect responsible for the stabbing has been identified but remains unnamed as the investigation continues.

Police anticipate more arrests.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Tulare Police Department.
