A 27-year-old man was arrested in connection with a road rage shooting that injured a woman on Tuesday in Fresno, the Fresno Police Department said in a Friday afternoon statement.

Officers responded to Shields and Pleasant avenues after reports of a shooting.
They found two victims, a 33-year-old woman and her 55-year-old father.
The woman sustained a gunshot graze to her face and officers said her injuries were not life-threatening. The victims’ vehicle was found with multiple bullet holes.

Investigators learned that the incident stemmed from a brief verbal altercation. The woman had honked at the suspect after his vehicle blocked the road.
Video footage from a nearby business helped detectives identify the suspect as Julian Angelo Gonzales, a convicted felon from Selma, who is prohibited from possessing firearms.

On Thursday, detectives located Gonzales and arrested him for multiple felonies, including assault with a firearm and negligent discharge of a firearm, authorities said.
He was booked into the Fresno County Jail.
