Authorities are searching for a big-rig driver who fled the scene of a hit-and-run collision Wednesday night in southeast Fresno, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of North and Temperance avenues.

Investigators say a red big-rig tractor-trailer failed to stop at a stop sign, colliding with a Ford pickup.

The driver of the big-rig fled northbound on Temperance Avenue following the crash.

The CHP asks anyone with information about the crime to contact its Fresno office at (559) 262-0400.
