The seven candidates running for three Fresno Unified School Board seats have been invited to a candidate forum sponsored by the Youth Leadership Institute, Community Media Access Collaborative, and the Central Valley United For Power coalition.

The forum will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at The Sanctuary at the Big Red Church, 2131 N. Van Ness Blvd., Fresno. CMAC will broadcast the forum live.

The Central Valley United for Power coalition members are Californians for Justice, Faith in the Valley, and Power California.

Questions will be provided by youth leaders and community members, and each candidate will have the opportunity to share their vision for the district. Issues to be explored include school safety, racial equity, success metrics, community engagement, and funding.
