Thirty to 50 people armed with bear spray swarmed Nordstrom at the Westfield Topanga Mall in Woodland Hills and stole $60,000 to $100,000 in luxury handbags and high-end clothing, Los Angeles police said Saturday.

“Topanga Division officers were on the scene quickly and have several investigative leads,” the LAPD said in a statement.

The masked thieves used the bear spray to neutralize the mall’s security guards, authorities said.

The thieves reportedly fled in a BMW and other vehicles.
