While California’s severe drought has hit nearly every corner of the Golden State, it has delivered a crushing toll to communities like Kettleman City, a pit stop for travelers heading to San Francisco, Los Angeles, and the Central Coast. If the state’s drought posture stays the same, Kettleman City will be out of water by year’s end, the town’s water provider says.
