Fresno police are asking for the public’s help identifying suspects after multiple rounds were fired outside a studio being used to film a rap video early Sunday.
Officers responded at 2:24 a.m. near Fulton and Dennett avenues, south of the Tower District, after reports of shots fired, police said.
Investigators determined several people who had been denied entry to the studio left the location and fired multiple rounds, striking the exterior of a business on Fulton Avenue.
Police said there appeared to have been an exchange of gunfire. No injuries were reported.
A preliminary review of video indicated the people involved had no connection to Tower District activities, police said.
Investigators said they also will review any previous calls for service at the location.
Fresno has recorded 132 shooting incidents so far this year, four more than the 128 recorded at the same point last year. Police described last year as one of the lowest years on record for shootings.
Got a Tip?
The investigation remains ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Fresno Police Department at (559) 621-7000.
