A community electronic dance event aimed at supporting autism awareness will take place Saturday at Procreation Brewing Co. in Fresno, according to organizers.
The Autism EDM Event, presented by DJ Basswar, Eternal Grime Raves, and Procreation Brewing Co., runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 1929 Santa Clara S.
Bryce Walker, also known as DJ Basswar, said, “The autism EDM event is meant to have people with autism to come out and experience what’s it like going to an EDM show and have others come out to support autism awareness!”
All-Ages Welcomed
The all-ages gathering is designed to help people with autism feel welcome while encouraging broader community support.
Organizers say all attendees will be admitted free before 6 p.m. with valid ID. After 6 p.m., ages 18 and older will pay $10 with an RSVP or $15 without one.
Teens ages 13 to 17 will be charged $5 after 6 p.m., and children 12 and under are free all day. Anyone 17 or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and student IDs are required.
The event will feature earplugs for attendees who need noise accommodation. Board games, lo-fi music, water stations, and indoor restrooms will be available.
Food vendor Birria Y Guisados Jamay will serve tacos, quesabirria, burritos, tortas, sopas, quesadillas, multiple meat options, and aguas frescas.
Performances are scheduled throughout the evening, including sets by Lost Twins, B.K. Simpsons, TarHeart, DJ Basswar, and V3GA.
