A report of a potential shooter led to a lockdown at Mineral King School on Wednesday afternoon, but authorities confirmed there was no active threat, the Visalia Police Department reported.

Officers responded around 3:10 p.m. following reports of a shooter on campus.
They later determined that a suspect from a nearby traffic accident had fled the scene and entered the school grounds, prompting the lockdown.

All students have been accounted for, and there were no injuries, authorities said.
The individual involved was taken into custody without incident.
