A team of 32 Tulare County Sheriff’s detectives, joined by 10 officers from other local agencies, conducted a domestic violence sweep across the county on Wednesday, according to the sheriff’s office.

The effort was part of the 21st Annual National Family Violence Apprehension Detail, an event held every October in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

So far this month, the coordinated effort has led to the arrests of 26 individuals with outstanding warrants for domestic violence.

Due to the sensitive nature of these cases, officials have chosen not to release the names of those arrested to safeguard victims’ identities.

The sweep saw participation from eight law enforcement agencies, including the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, Visalia Police Department, Dinuba Police Department, Tulare Police Department, Porterville Police Department, Lindsay Police Department, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office, and the Tulare County Probation Department.
