Phillip A. Talbert, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of California, announced the dismantling of a major drug trafficking organization operating between Mexico and California on Monday, June 17, in Fresno.
The organization was responsible for distributing large amounts of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin, Talbert said. Over the past year, law enforcement seized significant quantities of these drugs, including over 12,900 pounds of methamphetamine, 23 kilograms of fentanyl mixture, 18 kilograms of cocaine, and 10 kilograms of heroin, along with 35 firearms.
Talbert emphasized the collaboration between various federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies in the investigation and arrests, and underscored the ongoing commitment to disrupting major drug trafficking operations.
Twenty-two suspects were arrested.
