San Luis Obispo County sheriff's detectives arrested Wayland Stronglee, 22, of Los Osos, on suspicion of raping a minor after investigators said he met the victim through social media and are seeking possible additional victims or witnesses.

A 22-year-old Los Osos man was arrested last week in connection with an ongoing sexual assault investigation, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives served a search warrant Thursday, July 16, in the 2100 block of Fresno Street in Los Osos as part of the investigation.
Following the search, detectives arrested Wayland Stronglee, 22, of Los Osos, without incident. He was booked on suspicion of rape by force and unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.
Investigators said Stronglee met the victim through social media before the alleged assault.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information related to the case, or anyone who believes they may have had contact with Stronglee under similar circumstances, to contact the Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at (805) 781-4500.
Investigators are working to determine whether there may be additional victims or witnesses who have not yet come forward.
