Fresno County Coroner Seeks Relatives of Man Found Dead at Home

The Fresno County Coroner’s Office is asking for help locating relatives of 72-year-old Ernie Jimenez Mendez. (Fresno County SO)

The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating family members of a 72-year-old man who was found dead at his Fresno home.

Ernie Jimenez Mendez was found deceased at his home Aug. 17, according to the sheriff’s office.

Coroner’s Office staff have searched numerous personal records but have been unable to contact any of Jimenez’s relatives.

Officials said locating immediate family members is necessary before the Coroner’s Unit can release his body and allow for a proper burial.
