President Donald Trump attacked Michigan gubernatorial candidate Abdul El-Sayed, accusing him of hating Israel and Jewish people without providing evidence for the claims.

Trump called El-Sayed a “man of hate” and criticized his statements about loving everyone.

Trump also used the remarks to renew his warnings about socialism and communism, arguing that some political opponents want to move beyond socialism and “go right down to the bottom of the barrel” toward communism. He reiterated that the United States will not become a communist country.

The comments came as Trump continues to frame progressive political movements as a threat to American economic and political systems.
