A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of multiple DUI-related offenses after authorities said he crashed into a parked vehicle in Visalia on Sunday evening.

Visalia police said officers responded around 7 p.m. to a traffic collision involving a burgundy GMC SUV traveling eastbound on St. Johns Parkway that crashed into a parked vehicle near the intersection of Maple Avenue.

Officers identified the driver as Cory Donahue and determined he was under the influence of alcohol, according to police.

During the investigation, Donahue resisted officers before he was taken into custody without further incident.

Police said Donahue was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence causing injury, driving with a suspended license due to a prior DUI conviction, resisting or delaying a peace officer, violating DUI probation by driving with alcohol in his system, and on an outstanding warrant from a previous DUI case.
