A wildfire burning northeast of Susanville has grown to 29,752 acres and was 5% contained, according to the Bureau of Land Management.
The Biscar Fire started at 12:06 a.m. Friday near Snowstorm Road and Vincent Canyon in Lassen County. The cause remains under investigation.
Evacuation Orders, Warnings
Evacuation orders remain in effect for zones LAS-543, LAS-551-A, LAS-551-B, LAS-551-C and LAS-553.
Officials said the orders indicate an immediate threat to life and that residents should leave immediately.
Evacuation warnings remain in place for zones LAS-541, LAS-545 and LAS-555.
Officials said those needing additional time to evacuate, as well as people with pets and livestock, should leave now.
No information was available Monday on structures threatened, damaged, or destroyed, or on any injuries or fatalities.
The Bureau of Land Management reported Sunday evening that the fire was 5% contained.
