A man wanted by the Madera County Sheriff’s Office was arrested Tuesday morning after deputies located him hiding near a roadway following a report of a suspicious person.
Just before 7 a.m., deputies responded to the area of Road 425 and Mudge Ranch Road after a homeowner reported a man matching the description of a wanted suspect was at their front door asking to make a phone call.
Deputies arrived and saturated the area after identifying the man as the same suspect sought the previous day. With assistance from K9 Obie, deputies located Kevin Marquez hiding behind a brush pile across the roadway.
Marquez was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Madera County Jail.
