A juvenile riding an e-bike was injured Sunday night in a collision with a vehicle at an intersection in Fowler, according to the Fowler Police Department.
Officers responded at about 8:14 p.m. to the intersection of South and Citrus avenues, where they found the crash involving a vehicle and a juvenile on an e-bike. Police said officers immediately provided aid to the juvenile, who survived the collision and received prompt medical assistance.
The driver involved cooperated fully with investigators. Police said alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.
The Fowler Police Department urged motorists, bicyclists, e-bike riders, and pedestrians to remain alert on roadways and emphasized the importance of wearing appropriate safety equipment and following traffic laws.
Police also encouraged parents to talk with their children about safe riding habits, traffic awareness and roadway rules, noting that safety is a shared responsibility in the community.
