A man was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant related to prior theft charges after a police officer conducting patrol checks of closed businesses spotted him behind a business along Cleveland Avenue, authorities said.
The arrest occurred Saturday night when an officer of the Madera Police Department was checking closed businesses in the area and observed Jared Roark loitering behind one of the establishments, according to the department.
After contacting Roark and conducting an investigation, Diaz discovered Roark had an outstanding felony warrant tied to previous theft charges, police said.
Roark was arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail on the warrant.
