Several Jewish faculty members at Columbia University who supported pro-Palestinian protests have filed claims seeking compensation from a $21 million antisemitism settlement fund created under the university’s agreement with the Trump administration, according to The Guardian.

The faculty argue they faced harassment because of their support for Palestinian rights and criticism of Israeli policy, not because of anti-Israel activism.

In filings to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, they described being targeted, investigated and labeled with derogatory terms, while alleging the university conflated Jewish identity with support for Israel.

The claims process recently closed.
