The Madera Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of stealing merchandise from a local business.

Police said the unidentified male was captured on surveillance video during the theft. Authorities released a digital image of the suspect as part of the department’s weekly “Who Is This Wednesday” effort to identify people connected to investigations.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the case is asked to contact the Madera Police Department at (559) 675-4220 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP.

Police said callers may remain anonymous.
