Original Story

Clovis High School and Clovis Elementary School were placed under a shelter-in-place order Friday morning as police searched for a threat on the campus, according to the Clovis Police Department.

Police said at 8:57 a.m. that officers were searching for a threat in coordination with Clovis Unified School District officials.

The Clovis Unified School District confirmed the shelter-in-place order and said that the threat stems from a suspicious phone call directed at the high school.

The shelter-in-place order follows a similar order issued Thursday at Clovis high and elementary schools.

Authorities and school officials said they take all threats seriously.

No additional information was immediately available.
