Fresno police are asking for the public’s help identifying two suspects accused of stealing food and drinks from a business and injuring a store clerk during the incident.

Police said the theft happened May 18 at about 5:32 a.m. near Belmont Avenue and Calaveras Street.

According to investigators, one suspect wearing a white long-sleeve shirt and black pants with “Champion” logos grabbed an armful of burritos and ran out of the store without paying.

A second suspect, described as wearing a red hoodie with “ECKO” on the front, allegedly grabbed several drinks and ran into the clerk as the employee attempted to stop the suspect from leaving the store.

Police said one of the suspects pushed the clerk, causing injuries.

Surveillance video showed both suspects running west toward an alley behind the business, according to police.
