President Donald Trump called news program “60 Minutes” a “disgrace” following a line of questions about accusations of rape and pedophilia from the suspected White House Correspondent’s Dinner shooter’s manifesto.
On Sunday, CBS News Correspondent Norah O’Donnell sat down with Trump for a one-on-one interview following the Saturday shooting.
In the interview, O’Donnell cites a possible motive from the shooter recorded in his manifesto, saying administration officials are targets because they are pedophiles and rapists.
Trump, seemingly prepared for the line of questions, criticized O’Donnell for reading the shooter’s words.
“You read that crap from some sick person. I got association with all that stuff that has nothing to do with me,” Trump said during the interview.
Shortly before that, Trump said he’s neither a rapist nor a pedophile.
O’Donnell, however, asked if Trump thought the shooter was referring to him.
“Do you think he was referring to you?”
