Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an armed robbery that occurred overnight at a travel center in Delano.

Just before 1 a.m. on Friday, deputies were called to the Big B’s Travel Center on Highway 99 in Delano, where a store clerk reported that a man entered the business armed with a gun and demanded money, according to authorities.

The suspect fled the store with an unknown amount of cash and was last seen traveling southbound on Highway 99. No injuries were reported.
