A fire that broke out early Wednesday damaged eight units at an apartment complex in Clovis, authorities said.

The blaze ignited at the complex near Pollasky and Barstow avenues, according to the Clovis Fire Department.

Crews responded quickly and remained on scene into the morning hours to bring the situation under control.

No injuries were reported, officials said. The American Red Cross was on scene to assist residents who were displaced by the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
