Fresno Police Make Arrest in Fatal Stabbing at Southeast Park

Fresno undercover police detectives have arrested a suspect in Sunday’s stabbing homicide at Martin Ray Reilly Park.

Jacob Harshman, 29 was arrested Wednesday and booked into Fresno County Jail on charges of murder and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant, authorities said Friday morning.

The victim, Jared Rogers, 23, died early Sunday morning. Officers found Rogers in a parking stall with multiple stab wounds to his upper torso and a broken arm.

He was initially responsive to officers but quickly became unresponsive and was transported to CRMC, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
