Republican presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis will campaign in Fresno next month.
The Florida governor will appear at a fundraising luncheon hosted by Richard F. Spencer and his wife, Karen Spencer.
KSEE-24’s Alexan Balekian first reported the information. He tweeted out a copy of the invitation, with tickets ranging from $1,500 to $11,600 for the 12:30 p.m. event on Thursday, Sept. 28.

Spencer confirmed the date and location to GV Wire. He said it will take place at his place of business, Harris Construction, just south of Fresno Yosemite International Airport.
A Return Valley Visit
The following day, DeSantis is scheduled to deliver a dinnertime speech to the state GOP convention in Anaheim.
This will be DeSantis’s second Central Valley stop during his campaign. On June 19, Spencer and other big-money donors hosted DeSantis for a lunch event at Harris Ranch in Coalinga.
Spencer has always been one of the Central Valley’s most prolific campaign donors. Just in 2023, he has contributed more than $166,000 in federal races alone, according to the FEC. However, there are no listings of Spencer giving to DeSantis.
DeSantis is constantly No. 2 in GOP polls, but well behind former president Donald Trump. DeSantis has also engaged in a political rivalry with California Gov. Gavin Newsom. The two are negotiating the rules of a debate to be hosted by Fox News opinion host Sean Hannity.
