The food truck movement continued on Friday at the Manchester Center parking lot.

In the first of what will be weekly Friday afternoon events, five food trucks and a fresh produce stand lined up to feed hungry lunchgoers.

It was the latest production of Fresno Street Eats and promoter Mike Oz.

“We tapped into our network of food trucks, and here we are,” Oz said.

Oz said different trucks will rotate in and out weekly. He has 40 trucks in his network.

Learn More About the Real Philly Truck

A First and Second Bite

Each of the five trucks could claim to be the most popular, depending on the time of day.

Several hungry eaters waited at Real Philly, serving cheesesteaks made by — as the name implies — real Philadelphia cooks.

Another popular spot was Brickology Pizza, with its specialty cauliflower crusts.

Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer and Councilman Nelson Esparza each took a ceremonial “first bite” of pizza from the Brickology truck. They followed with an unceremonial second bite of queso tacos from Taqueria Jalisciense.

Joseph Castillo took a lunch break from his job at the mall. He ordered a cheesesteak from Real Philly and a churro from Rubia’s Churros.

“It’s amazing, you can get what you want,” he said.

While there are no tables set up in the parking lot, Daniel Betancur brought his own.

“I like supporting the small business people,” he said.
