Fresno police said alleged killer Nicholas House was in a white Chevy Malibu stopped by a patrol officer shortly after the shooting and was found with two semi-automatic firearms.

“After speaking with House, detectives determined he was responsible for the shooting deaths of Diaz and Golding,” the Fresno Police Department said in a news release.

Driving the car: a 16-year-old male juvenile, who was interviewed by detectives and released.

Victims Are Nicole Diaz, Noah Golding

Fresno police responded to shots fired shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of South Argyle Avenue near Tulare Avenue.

One of the victims, Nicole Diaz, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene; the second victim, Noah Golding, 17, was taken to Community Regional Medical Center but died at 1:52 a.m., police said.

Diaz, who was dating Golding, and another young woman had shown up in the southeast Fresno neighborhood to fight after exchanging words on social media, according to police.

More Information Sought

Detectives say they have received video clips of the shootings through social media. They are asking anyone with information or video evidence to contact homicide detective J. Alexander, (559) 621-2445, or detective V. Miranda, (559) 621-2452.

Tipsters can also relay information through Valley CrimeStoppers, (559) 498-STOP, or at this link, and remain anonymous.

The case number is 2205310053.
