GV Wire will host a one-on-one interview with Dr. Eimear O’Brien, a candidate for Fresno County superintendent of schools, ahead of the November election.
The interview is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 22, from 6 to 7 p.m.
O’Brien, the former superintendent of Clovis Unified School District, is challenging incumbent Dr. Michele Cantwell-Copher in the Nov. 3 election.
The two advanced to the November runoff after finishing as the top two vote-getters in the June 2 primary. Neither candidate received a majority of the vote.
GV Wire made repeated attempts to contact Cantwell-Copher’s team about participating in the discussion but received no response. Cantwell-Copher is not expected to attend.
GV Wire Publisher Darius Assemi will host the interview, with questions focusing on O’Brien’s vision for Fresno County schools, academic achievement, and issues facing students, families, and educators.
The discussion will be live-streamed on GV Wire’s Facebook page, allowing the public to hear directly from O’Brien ahead of the election.
