Fresno Police Arrest Man After Backpack With $12,000 Is Stolen

Fresno police arrested a man Wednesday in connection with the theft of a backpack containing $12,000, authorities told GV Wire.
Officers responded about 9:03 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, to the 1400 block of West Ashlan Avenue for a reported theft.
Police said two suspects entered the location, went behind the registers, and stole a backpack containing $12,000.
Roman Salmeron was later identified as a suspect, police said.
On Wednesday, members of Fresno police’s ACT team went to a residence in the 900 block of West Griffith Way to arrest Salmeron.
Salmeron was also arrested for a PRCS violation and booked into the Fresno County Jail, police said.
