Democrats are leading Republican challengers in Michigan and New Hampshire but trail in Maine, according to New York Times/Siena University polls conducted Sept. 15-22.

In Michigan, Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed leads former Republican Rep. Mike Rogers 49% to 44%. In New Hampshire, Democratic Rep. Chris Pappas leads former Republican Sen. John Sununu 50% to 45%. In Maine, Republican Sen. Susan Collins leads Democratic challenger Troy Jackson 49% to 46%.

Democrats need to flip four Republican-held seats while protecting all of their own to win Senate control.

The polls surveyed likely voters in three key battleground states before November’s general election.
