A 60-year-old man was airlifted to a hospital Sunday after he was assaulted near Porterville, according to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded about 5:14 p.m. to the area of Highway 190 and Road 284, where they found the man who had been physically assaulted, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The man was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment. His condition was not provided.
Sheriff’s detectives and crime lab personnel were called to the scene to take over the investigation.
No information about a suspect or what led to the assault was provided.
