Fresno police arrested a 26-year-old man after investigators say he intentionally ran over a dog and struck multiple vehicles during a disturbance in east Fresno, according to the Fresno Police Department.
Officers responded Monday at about 9:28 p.m. to the 4500 block of East Cortland Avenue for a reported disturbance.
The investigation determined the suspect, identified as Derek Olmedo, intentionally struck a vehicle, causing damage, and ran over a dog, causing injury.
Police also said he hit two additional vehicles, resulting in further damage.
Olmedo was arrested Tuesday at about 5:46 a.m. at CRMC and booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges including felony vandalism, intentional cruelty to an animal, and reckless driving.
His bail is set at $19,500, according to arrest records.
