Officers with the Fresno Police Department investigated a reported kidnapping involving a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old, along with a stolen vehicle, authorities said Wednesday.

The incident was reported at Harrison and Cornell avenues.

Police said the suspect, identified as Nathaniel Benavidez, is in custody.

Both children were found safe, according to authorities.
