An appeals court has halted enforcement of a California law enacted in 2025 that would have mandated federal immigration officers display badges or other identifying markers, AP reported.
The Trump administration sued in November to challenge the policy, arguing it puts federal agents at risk by increasing exposure to harassment, doxxing, and violence.
On Wednesday, a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals issued an injunction while the case moves through the appeals process.
