I strongly condemn the growing attacks on ICE and Border Patrol agents and the reckless political rhetoric coming from the radicals and extremists both in the media and elected office that vilify federal law enforcement for simply doing their jobs as required by the law.

ICE is not a danger or threat to our communities.

What is a threat is the increased lawlessness and violence that masquerades as protest. These radicals are initiating confrontations and violent interactions with ICE in order to stoke their base, create chaos and fear in communities, and delegitimize law enforcement. This is evidenced by the 3,200% increase in vehicle attacks on ICE officers. 3,200%!

We’ve arrived at this dangerous place because for four years, the corrupt Biden administration, through a treasonous border policy, removed any enforcement and allowed 10-20 million people enter this country illegally with little to no vetting.

The result has been entirely predictable: Violent criminals, drug smugglers, human traffickers, pedophiles, sex offenders, and terrorists from all over the world released into American communities all across the country. Law-abiding citizens are paying the price for that treason, and many Americans have been murdered and violently attacked.

Democrats, Media Rarely Mention Consequences of Illegal Immigration

Just to name a few of the lives ended as a result of these open border policies:

Laken Riley, studying to be a nurse, was murdered by an illegal alien. Twelve-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray was raped and murdered by two illegal aliens. A mother of five, Rachel Morin was sexually assaulted and had her head bashed in by illegal alien. Dacara Thompson met a similar fate and was thrown off a bridge.

Not one Democrat called for protests or deportation of illegal aliens as a result of these heinous acts. Nor did they speak out against all of these people invading our country. The corrupt media barely covered these horrific events, and there were no marches for these victims.

The majority of the people in our great nation have grown sick of witnessing this evil and destruction and have demanded our borders to be closed and the rule of law to be implemented and followed. That is why President Trump was elected in a landslide. He is now doing the difficult but necessary work of restoring law and order by removing dangerous criminals illegally in our country.

That effort has been met with open resistance from radical Democrat politicians like Gov. Gavin Newsom, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, whose sanctuary policies openly defy federal law and have turned their cities into magnets for crime, fraud and chaos.

Now, these radicals are further escalating the problem with more dangerous and irresponsible rhetoric. This has sadly and tragically resulted in loss of life which is what White House Border Czar Tom Homan said would result from these reckless politicians.

Criticism of Obama’s Immigration Policies Quiet

It’s important to note that when President Obama deported 3 MILLION illegal aliens, there were no protests or efforts to disrupt ICE from doing their jobs. Why? Because ICE received cooperation from those local government elected officials. The media didn’t attack ICE, and no local officials called for their citizens to oppose them or their lawful efforts to deport illegal aliens.

As a result, the deportations were orderly and without any losing their lives.

In California, the lunatic politicians in Sacramento enacted SB 54 which restricts law enforcement from even contacting ICE to hand over the criminal illegal aliens they have in their custody. Completely insane!

If not for sanctuary policies and laws like SB54, criminals would be handed over to ICE safely in jail settings rather than being released back into the community, and ICE would not need to go into communities to find these dangerous criminals. But lawless sanctuary policies in Democrat-run cities and states cause these dangerous situations for innocent citizens and law enforcement.

We are now seeing the consequences. ICE agents attempting to carry out lawful enforcement actions are being harassed, obstructed, and endangered, fueled by years of political demonization and being called “The Gestapo.” They are being physically threatened and attacked. So are their families.

The Public Needs to Stand Up for Law Enforcement

The rule of law matters. Federal agents are not the enemy. They are professionals tasked with protecting our communities. The left’s radical ideology built on hostility toward law enforcement and contempt for our sovereign borders is putting innocent lives at risk and creating mayhem in these cities, which is exactly what they want.

They hate our country and want to tear down our institutions and delegitimize law enforcement.

This lawlessness and attacks on ICE must stop. We need local elected leaders throughout the nation to strongly speak out and defend all law enforcement officers including those federal officers like ICE, Border Patrol, and FBI that are under attack and I am calling on them to do so.

City councilmembers, mayors, county supervisors, and assemblymembers throughout the nation need to stand up and speak out, NOW! All of us who love this country, cherish our values, our freedoms and the Constitution, and who support the rule of law and those courageous men and women of law enforcement who risk their lives to protect our families and children must speak out NOW and stand with federal agents as they attempt to do their lawful jobs and rid our communities of these illegal criminal aliens. If you are silent, you are complicit.

Fresno County will always support lawful enforcement, and we respect the men and women who serve our community with courage and integrity and are keeping our neighborhoods and families safe. We are grateful to them and we are also grateful to the brave and courageous federal officers throughout the nation, and always will be.

May God bless them and the United States of America — the greatest nation on Earth.
