President Donald Trump unleashed his ICE paramilitary forces into a country with 400 million guns and gun rights guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment. It's a recipe for widespread bloodshed. (GV Wire Composite)

- Trump and his advisers overlooked the fact Americans own 400 million guns before he unleased his ICE goon squad.

President Donald Trump doesn’t care much about the law, the Constitution, or the disastrous effects that his daily flood of decrees, policy shifts, and social media musings have on folks.

Thus, with help from a feckless Supreme Court conservative majority, he utilizes the vast resources of the world’s greatest superpower to enrich his family, feed his ego, and keep MAGA supporters happy.
But even though Trump is an authoritarian savant, he sometimes screws up.
His biggest mistake to date is unleashing a civil-rights burning, detain-first-ask-questions-later federal force across America to capture and deport undocumented residents.
It’s a mistake compounded by a fact Trump and his advisers somehow overlooked: There are an estimated 400 million guns in America — more than one per resident.
In addition, the U.S. has some of the least-restrictive gun laws among modern nations, thanks to the efforts of gun-rights advocacy groups. Thus, even though Trump thinks of MAGA and gun rights groups as two peas in the same pod, he overlooked the fact that his paramilitary force would inevitably encounter a gun-carrying protester with a concealed-weapon permit.
That’s exactly what happened Saturday, and federal agents shot him dead. Killed him in a flash even though video suggests that the shots came after they had wrestled his gun away from him.

Trump Now on Wrong Side of Gun Rights Groups
The previous crack in the MAGA wall over tariffs and inflation widened with the homicide. Gun rights groups denounced the killing of Alex Jeffrey Pretti in the immediate aftermath, and FBI Director Director Kash Patel fanned the flames of criticism with remarks made to Fox News.
Said Patel: “You cannot bring a firearm, loaded, with multiple magazines to any sort of protest that you want. It’s that simple. You don’t have that right to break the law and incite violence,” Patel said.
Patel, who is far from the sharpest knife in the drawer, likely thought the Fox News audience would chow down his remarks like a tomahawk steak. Not so.
MAGA will put up with a lot of Trump’s nonsense because he is their weapon against progressives. However, one thing they won’t tolerate is treading on their hard-earned gun rights. Especially the right to carry in public where it’s legal.
Meanwhile, other Trump apologists are trying to defend the agents’ decision to kill Pretti based on the fact that he had an expensive gun and extra ammo magazines. They claim this is evidence that Pretti came to kill, the Second Amendment be damned.
The facts are, Pretti’s gun — a Sig Sauer P320 — is popular, and people licensed to carry are encouraged by trainers to carry extra magazines.
“Carrying an extra magazine implies nothing. Holsters designed to carry spare magazines are common and widely sold,” said the National Association for Gun Rights in a social media post. “Training resources and guides across the internet actively recommend it. Thousands of law-abiding Americans do this every day. This is standard, not overkill. Claiming otherwise sets a dangerous precedent for Second Amendment rights and creates an easy backdoor argument for magazine bans and similar legislation.”
Thousands of Americans have gathered across the country to support Second Amendment rights, some openly and some concealed, armed without incident. Hundreds in Virginia just last week.

Trump Must Call Off His Dogs Before America Explodes
A country on edge.
People who have lived illegally but productively and peacefully in the U.S. afraid to leave their homes.
American citizens, including military veterans, illegally detained because of their names or the color of their skin.
Protesters exercising their civil liberties and ratcheting up already dangerous, chaotic situations.
A poorly trained paramilitary force filled with new agents there for the $50,000 bonuses and a desire to kick ass.
Now stir with 400 million guns and the nation’s ongoing mental health crisis.
What possibly could go wrong?
Trump did the right thing when he sealed a southern border inexplicably thrown wide open by Joe Biden. His next move should’ve been to continue the apprehension of violent undocumented criminals in the manner it had been done previously. With professional, well-trained agents who have a tough job to do, but respect the law.
But Trump rules by intimidation, force, and spectacle. He loves being producer, director, and star of his own reality show. So he unleashed a goon squad before fully vetting the consequences.
Trump had best retreat. Otherwise, he’ll have a lot more blood on his hands.
