Visalia police and firefighters are on the scene of a vehicle collision involving a fire hydrant at West Noble Avenue and Locust Street Friday, authorities said.

The Visalia Police Department said the scene remains active, and road closures are in effect in the area.

Police are urging motorists to avoid the intersection, drive safely, and use alternate routes.

The department said it will provide an update once the roads reopen.
