A man on probation for a prior weapons conviction was arrested after Fresno police say they found a concealed firearm during a traffic stop in southwest Fresno.
Southwest District officers pulled over the vehicle for a code violation near Belmont Avenue and Parkway Drive, the Fresno Police Department said Wednesday.
The driver, whose name has not been released, was found to be on probation and was searched. Officers located a firearm concealed near the driver inside the vehicle.
He was cited for the initial traffic violation and booked into the Fresno County Jail on multiple firearm-related charges, including being a felon in possession of a firearm.
