Authorities in Madera County are asking for the public’s help in locating the next of kin for a Coarsegold man.

David Charles Smith, born Dec. 15, 1945, died on May 7 in Madera County, according to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.

Efforts to identify or contact any of Smith’s family members have so far been unsuccessful, authorities said.

Anyone with information about Smith or how to reach his relatives is asked to contact the Madera County Coroner’s Office at (559) 675-7774.
