Madera County Authorities Arrests Man in Child Sexual Abuse Material Case

A 30-year-old man has been arrested on charges of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material, following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

Bobby Dean Alexander, a suspected transient, was identified as a suspect after detectives with the Madera County Sheriff’s Investigations Bureau launched an investigation.

An arrest warrant was issued for Alexander on April 5, who was located and taken into custody. He is currently being held at the Madera County Jail.

Further investigation revealed that Alexander may have engaged in explicit communication with minors via various social media platforms.

Detectives took several electronic devices belonging to Alexander, which will undergo further examination by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
