Attention, Fresno Unified high school seniors: Don’t miss out on the opportunity to receive up to $4,500 in scholarship funds.
The FUSD scholarship deadline of Sunday, March 16, is fast approaching, and the district is encouraging students to complete applications now.
The Foundation for Fresno Unified Students will award scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $4,500. The organization is looking to grant $400,000 in student scholarships this year.
“The Foundation for Fresno Unified Students is proud to support students in achieving their college dreams through a variety of scholarships,” the CEO of the Foundation, Wendy McCulley, said, “We know that with some extra financial help, we are creating life-changing opportunities for our students and their families as well.”

Who Is Eligible?
Graduating seniors from one of Fresno Unified’s seven comprehensive high schools and Cambridge, Design Science, DeWolf, Duncan, Patino, Phoenix, and J.E. Young are eligible to apply.
Scholarships are available to students planning to attend community college, a four-year college or university, or a trade or technical program.
The foundation will award students based on their application essays, focused on their financial needs and life experiences that have shaped their aspirations. There is no GPA requirement.
The selection committee will make every effort to ensure a balanced distribution of scholarships throughout all high schools, foundation officials said.
Fresno Unified Scholarships are intended to ease the burden of students facing financial hardships while pursuing higher education.
“We do not want financial barriers to keep students from reaching their goals, and we strongly encourage all of our high school seniors to apply,” Interim Superintendent Misty Her said.
