Tobe Hixx was born in Miami, Florida. He moved to Omaha, Nebraska at just six months old to be raised by his grandparents. It was there that he was exposed to his first sampling of comedic genius, legendary comedian Richard Pryor. As a child, Hixx would sneak off with his friend to listen to the forbidden Pryor albums that they found hilarious.
