Tobe Hixx was born in Miami, Florida. He moved to Omaha, Nebraska at just six months old to be raised by his grandparents. It was there that he was exposed to his first sampling of comedic genius, legendary comedian Richard Pryor. As a child, Hixx would sneak off with his friend to listen to the forbidden Pryor albums that they found hilarious. His humble beginning remains a pertinent part of his story and a reminder to continue propelling forward. “Every time things get tough, shows get cancelled, it makes you think of the past.”Tobe Hixx was a skinny kid growing up in the whiter Midwest. In addition, Hixx has several writing projects and even released a comedy CD.
