Gerardo Renteria, 21, was arrested early Monday after crashing his car while driving under the influence, the Madera Police Department said.

Officers were called to Elm Street, near Santa Fe Street, where they found Renteria next to his vehicle after he hit a parked car.

Police said Renteria’s breath test showed he was nearly twice the 0.08 legal limit for alcohol.

During a search, officers found a loaded gun, a large amount of cash, and drugs they believe were meant for sale.

Renteria was arrested and booked into Madera County Jail on multiple charges, including DUI and possession with intent to sell, according to authorities.
