Pedestrian Killed in Southwest Fresno Sunday Identified

A pedestrian was killed after a vehicle struck him in an alley at Belmont Avenue and Abby Street on Sunday afternoon, according to the Fresno Police Department.

Officers from the Southwest Policing District got to the alley around 1:30 p.m. and found the victim, whom police identified as 64-year-old Ernest Yetter.

Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.

The driver involved in the incident has been cooperative with detectives as the investigation continues.
