Officers found Bonman on the ground with a single gunshot wound to her upper body. Officers and emergency medical services provided first aid before transporting Bonman to Saint Agnes Hospital where she died.

Homicide detectives have since launched an investigation and determined that the shooting followed a physical altercation between Bonman and Penelope Mehr, 21.

During the dispute, Mehr allegedly fired a handgun at Bonman, resulting in her death. Detectives have also identified Nevaeh Solomon, 18, as an accomplice who assisted Mehr during the shooting.

On Sunday, undercover detectives apprehended Mehr near the intersection of Second Street and Jensen Avenue. She has been booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of murder.

Solomon remains at large, and a warrant for her arrest has been issued on charges of being an accessory.
