An overturned semi-truck has forced the closure of a lane on southbound Interstate 5 north of Tuolumne Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP Coalinga said the No. 2 lane is closed as emergency personnel respond to the scene.

Motorists should expect delays, reduce their speed, and use caution when approaching the area, authorities said.

Drivers are also urged to give emergency crews enough room to work safely.

The CHP said additional updates will be provided as information becomes available.

It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured or when the lane would reopen.
