Update: The Clovis Unified School District said they have lifted the shelter-in-place order and have resumed regular operations.

Original Story

Young Elementary School is under a shelter-in-place order due to police activity near the campus, Clovis Unified School District said Tuesday.

The district said the police activity is not taking place on school grounds and that all students are secure.

Students are being kept indoors, and traffic around the campus is being limited to avoid interfering with law enforcement operations.

The district said it will provide additional information as it becomes available and continue sending periodic updates if the shelter-in-place order is extended.

Parents and guardians can find more information about school safety procedures and their role during emergencies on the district’s website.
